Outstanding Performer….., I have this receiver a couple of weeks now. I was a little 'Leary about buying this unit because it was used in a room that is not "double-duty" that the only place I listen to high-end analog and digital music with the occasional use of a house - theater. The primary goal is the reproduction of music and I was tempted to go with style tube amps and other gear to support my collection of vinyl. But because there are always compromises in this area (space, money, etc.) I decided groped their luck with this Onkyo. All I can say is WOW. I run 5.1-channel bi-amplification for the front speakers (my only concession to the music than the video.) The sound is excellent. I did a lot of comparison shopping and looked at many different systems and had to spend more than $ 4-5K on hybrid tube amps to get a better sound than this.

It Has A Remote., First and most important, Technics SL-PD8 comes with a remote control (SL-pd6 think it lacks a remote control). The Technics SL-PD10, I think that adds a pitch control to vary the playback speed.
